We recognise existing work
Your organisation has already invested in independent certifications. BEQUAL brings that evidence together instead of starting again.
Bring the independent certifications your organisation already holds into one clear, credible and verifiable signal.
BEQUAL is an umbrella certification for organisations whose diversity commitments are already supported by valid third-party certifications.
How verification worksYour organisation has already invested in independent certifications. BEQUAL brings that evidence together instead of starting again.
The issuer, validity, scope and relevance of each supporting certification are reviewed through a clear documentary process.
One BEQUAL level communicates how broadly your organisation's verified commitments cover diversity and social inclusion.
BEQUAL CERTIFICATE does not replace specialist certifications. It brings them together.
Certifications such as DisCert, FemCert and other eligible schemes assess an organisation in depth within a specific field. BEQUAL CERTIFICATE adds a second layer of assurance by independently reviewing the validity, issuer, organisational scope and relevance of every supporting certificate used for the awarded level.
Verified specialist evidence covering accessibility, employment and participation.
Verified evidence concerning fair treatment, equality and non-discrimination.
Verified measures supporting people facing social or economic vulnerability.
Verified action to remove barriers to employment and long-term inclusion.
Every supporting certification. Independently reviewed. One clear diversity signal.
BEQUAL recognises verified commitments across four complementary areas.
Accessibility, employment, inclusion and equal participation of people with disabilities.
Fair treatment, non-discrimination and equal access to employment and professional development.
Employment, inclusion and development measures supporting people facing social or economic vulnerability.
Initiatives that remove barriers to labour-market participation and long-term social inclusion.
The level reflects the number of BEQUAL areas supported by eligible, verified certifications.
Verified coverage in two of the four diversity areas.
Verified coverage in three of the four diversity areas.
Verified coverage across all four diversity areas.
BEQUAL does not rely on a closed list of labels. Each supporting certificate is assessed on its own merits.
The supporting certification must be current and independently confirmable.
It must apply to the applicant organisation and clearly cover a BEQUAL area.
It must come from a competent public authority or eligible independent certification body.
The BEQUAL level remains subject to the continued validity of its supporting certifications.
Certification scope. BEQUAL verifies the documentary evidence supporting the awarded diversity areas. It does not provide legal advice or independently certify compliance with CSRD, national equality or disability legislation, public procurement requirements or other statutory obligations unless expressly stated.
